Tool Camera

Unique to the IL series tool camera is that it interfaces to the NanoGrip chuck of the main spindle. It rotates around the tool to gain a precise understanding of the tool condition and geometrical location. The height adjustment takes place by looking from the side, the lateral tool position is analyzed from the top. With the integrated software for tool center point detection, the position is determined in full support and is automatically stored to the machine controllers tool table. With the telecentric objective and integrated illumination unit, tool alignment accuracy down to a few microns is feasible with the camera only within minutes.
